Wakeful Psychological and Consulting Services has 2 open full-time / part-time psychotherapist positions (1099). We’re in particular need of individuals who have experience working with adolescents and young adults along with a Family Systems training background. Experience in more intensive treatment setting (e.g., inpatient, PHP) is strongly preferred but not necessary.
All candidates must be licensed in the State of Illinois:
Preferred: LPC, LCPC, Post-Doctoral Psychologist
Will Consider: LCSW’s (not LSW’s)

Estimated Pay: $50,000.00 – $120,000.00 per year

Candidate has the following skills and attributes:
- Assertive Communicator and Self-Starter
- Ability to work independently as well as with a team with timely completion of work tasks
- Strong desire to contribute to the team
- Successfully manages professional and personal boundaries and responsibilities
- Holds a Masters or Doctoral degree in qualified specialty
- Must be licensed in the State of Illinois as an LPC, LCPC, LCSW, Psychologist, Post-Doctoral Psychologist
- At least 2 years of direct clinical experience in individual and group settings
- Ability to clinically assess individual and family needs and provide outside resource referrals as needed
- Strong motivation to regularly engage with the Clinical Supervisor and our other therapists; actively participate in individual and group clinical supervision
- Active efforts to gain experiential and academic knowledge for the advancement of clinical skills and personal development
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Experience working in an intensive treatment setting such as inpatient, PHP, or IOP (Preferred but Not Required)
- Interest in working with adolescents and young adults from, in part, a Family Systems perspective (Preferred but not Required)
Your Responsibilities:
- Provide individual, couples, or family therapy sessions
- Conduct clinical and diagnostic interviews to identify client’s mental health needs
- Complete treatment plans to support therapeutic interventions.
- Complete electronic notes and communicate with client/staff in a timely fashion
- Facilitate crisis intervention and support as appropriate (with the support of a supervisor if needed)
- Consultation and collaboration with other healthcare providers, psychiatrists, and family members to ensure coordinated care
- Participate in ongoing professional development activities to enhance your skills and knowledge
- Adhere to ethical guidelines and standards set forth by licensing boards

We take BCBS PPO plans, Aetna, Optum/United, Cigna and of course, private pay. We’re in process of getting credentialed with TriWest/TriCare and will update our list when it’s completed.
